We gutted or removed debris from 5 different houses and the team of men from Atlanta replaced a roof.
The highlight of my week was hanging out with the Atlanta folks; they were so welcoming and fun, we played Nertz and had some great conversations. We also went street witnessing. I loved to see how those who were at first apprehensive, ended up thoroughly enjoying themselves. I loved getting to hear the stories afterwords. Street people have some pretty crazy life experiences and often long for a listening ear and for someone to treat them with dignity and value.
