Molly (the lady in yellow) brought these wonderful ladies from Del Rio to serve in our city :)
Molly works with Wonder Voyage who sets up and leads mission trips for teams. She takes groups all over the world and fortunately we're one of those blessed locations. So yeah, a youth-group who already paid their deposits canceled at the last moment, and Molly knew some folks in Del Rio who did not have the money, so she mentioned they could come free of charge. Funny thing is, no guys came from Del Rio, because the parents of the boys thought New Orleans was just to dangerous (Oh brother...). The all girl team that came were really excited about the opportunity and worked hard and had a meaningful trip. As always I enjoyed getting to spend some time with Molly, she is among those people in the world that I really admire.
It down pours almost most everyday during the summer, and while our work project was being interupted, I enjoyed watching how the adults all ran under the porch,while the kids all went running and jumping about in the rain
