Its been around a month since I've sent an update because most of what I've been doing is not all the photo worthy; Things like staining and sealing wood in the chapels kitchen, putting up siding on a house, chaulking and painting and going to home depot over and over again. As well, as fixing tires, cleaning houses, filling the dump trailer, going to the dump and doing lots of yard work. These activities don't really inspire photography! :)
The Urban Discipleship Training School (UDTS) is going great. God is doing a work in the students lives and they are really excited about their outreach that is coming up. Last Friday we went to the French Quarter and sang worship songs for a hours and created an environment which drew the street people to come joined us. God obvious was there, giving all of us a sweet sense of peace.
Personally, I am going through a learning season, I can't find enough time to read, think and write. Which leaves me rather torn because I have community next door who I want to spend time with, but hanging out easily absorbs every extra minute and I want to spend every free second I have on my bed with my nose in a book or busily writing thoughts into my notebook. Time seems so limited because of work and stuff going on in the evenings. Yeah, I wish I could function on 3 hours a sleep per night! I can't help but envy those who can.
I do have some photos I took the other day at my churches Crawfish boil. I hope you enjoy looking at a few snapshots of just one reason why New Orleans is special :)
